Julian Curry is CEO and Principal of Lapis Strategies. Julian founded Lapis in 2022 with Howard Stone after realizing there was a gap in cultural representation among public affairs and strategic consulting firms within the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area, specifically Prince George’s County, MD. Having been born and raised in Prince George’s County, a suburb right outside Washington, DC, Julian has established invaluable relationships with local, county, and state leaders which provides his clients with critical access to advance their campaigns and business objectives.

Julian has experience working in commercial real estate, fashion retailing, and marketing. Currently, he works as a Development Analyst and project manager at NAI Michael Companies, a Prince George’s County, MD based private commercial real estate firm specializing in development consulting, brokerage, and property management.

His duties include making sure projects move forward and are completed in a timely fashion, corresponding with local government officials and agencies, facilitating community and citizen outreach meetings, and working with the various third-party consultants needed to take a project from the pre-development stage to full stabilization. Some of the projects Julian is currently working on are the completion of a 380-acre mixed use project in Bowie, MD that will boast approximately 1,300 residential units (single family detached, condos, townhomes, and multifamily apartments), 3 hotels, up to 600,000 sq. ft. of retail and office space, and a 25-acre community lake, the final phase of a 1,000,000 square foot commercial and hospitality center in Capitol Heights, MD, and phase 2 of a mixed-use development in Lanham, MD that includes over 440,000 sq. ft. of retail, office, and over 125+ townhomes.

Prior to working at NAI Michael Companies, Julian graduated from Georgetown University with a bachelor’s degree in Finance.
